After four kids, ten moves and nearly two decades, we are still blissfully in love (most of the time) and I found myself back in the state I was born and raised in. It has definitely been a journey. In fact, on our 18th anniversary we pulled the last of our stuff up over the pass and into Montana, leaving our surprise love, Idaho, behind. But Montana is a great place. The last best place according to some. And we fully intend to explore as much of it as we can! Join us on our continued adventure through life, love and other stuff that comes with it.

Babywearing at the beach!

You know how sometimes you see something and it totally sticks in your head, sometimes for years? Two summers ago we went to the beach--Cannon Beach. I love Cannon Beach. I think that's what I'm going to miss the most about living in Washington--the ocean.

You'd think a girl who grew up in Montana would be less attached to the beach, but that's just not the way it is. In the five years we've had kids, we have had more fun at the beach. Some with my parents, some with my husband's parents. And only at the beach can you get great pictures like this:

That's my dad holding Grace in the air to get her kite as high as it can possibly get. That kite has a lot of miles on it.

This picture makes me giggle.

You only see people bundled and walking in the water with bare feet on the Oregon/Washington coast.

Gosh, the beach is fun.

But maybe not so much for this family.

I can only imagine how it happened.

A parent would naturally bring a stroller on a walk. But then the child decides to run rather than stroll. Leaving mom to figure out what to do with a stroller in the sand.

But it looks like they'll be okay. And the kid is getting a ride anyway.

I love babywearing.

So does grandma. (And look how little that Calla is!!)

And if the baby decides to run rather than be carried, you can do this:

Or stick it in a bag you already have. Easy as pie! Or babywearing rather!

Happy babywearing!

Love it. I always am so happy that I'm not lugging a stroller. And I am stoked that you tie your carrier around your waist like I do. We were destined to be friends!

We got a couple of carriers when the twins were born (not like yours, of course) and they were a godsend in Lebanon when we went for their baptism. I just wished I had a way of wearing twins in the States without Baba around to divide them with.

What great photos!! I have twins and only sling them both when I go to the beach. It is the only way to travel.
