After four kids, ten moves and nearly two decades, we are still blissfully in love (most of the time) and I found myself back in the state I was born and raised in. It has definitely been a journey. In fact, on our 18th anniversary we pulled the last of our stuff up over the pass and into Montana, leaving our surprise love, Idaho, behind. But Montana is a great place. The last best place according to some. And we fully intend to explore as much of it as we can! Join us on our continued adventure through life, love and other stuff that comes with it.

Birthday girl

Calla has been celebrating her birthday for more than a week now.  She keeps telling me, "The birthday girl will do it!!"  Or, "Here's the birthday girl!"

Today we went to town to get her birthday money spent. We gave her some money to buy cowboy boots. She about exploded with excitement when we told her what it was for. She picked out these:

And a couple weeks ago she started telling me, "When I read in the dark my eyes hurt."  I thought to myself that when I read in the dark my eyes hert, too.  But since I needed to go get contacts I made her an appointment.

Turns out the little bugger is a bit near sighted.  Just boarderline needing glasses. Bonus that insurance covered them.  We pick them up next week.

Calla is having a good day.

<3 Those glasses rock!! Tell her she looks great in her glasses and I love her new boots. Note to mom that there are several websites that sell glasses for way cheap if she manages to destroy those.

She looks great in her new glasses. Those boots are cool beyond compare. 5 is a great age, but I know you already know that :) Happy Birthday Calla!
