After four kids, ten moves and nearly two decades, we are still blissfully in love (most of the time) and I found myself back in the state I was born and raised in. It has definitely been a journey. In fact, on our 18th anniversary we pulled the last of our stuff up over the pass and into Montana, leaving our surprise love, Idaho, behind. But Montana is a great place. The last best place according to some. And we fully intend to explore as much of it as we can! Join us on our continued adventure through life, love and other stuff that comes with it.

One whole year!

It's been a year. A whole year since I started offering these silly things to mamas other than my local friends. Hard to believe. And what a year it's been. I don't think I could say 'countless' mamas have discovered the Silly Goose love, but I certainly don't have the time to count them right now. Some have even implied that the Silly Goose Baby mei tai is somewhat like a drug. You just have to try it once and you're hooked.

Frankly, I'm not out to make a million, or even half a million. I'm out here doing this because of one mama who turned me on to babywearing. I blame her. And I adore her. Who knew what the outcome would be when we met in that park on that gorgeous summer day and she brought her basket-o-carriers. If you had told me even then that I would design and market a carrier like this--let alone offer applique--I'd have thought you were nuts. Totally nuts. I hated applique and had NO desire to own a business.

But here I am. A year later. And loving it. Really loving it. Loving the phone call from a local friend who called just to tell me how much fun she had at the grocery store using her new carrier with her brand new little guy. Loving that I can offer that at a price most people can afford. Loving that I can buy yards of gorgeous and fun fabrics without my husband rolling his eyes.

Okay. I confess. One of the main reasons I fell in love babywearing is because I love fabric. I remember walking down the stairs with our tiny newborn in a pouch for the very first time and my husband looking up at me and saying with a certain awe, "You just look like such a natural." Of course I did! I was wrapped in my sweet new little baby and fabric!

And then it all fell into place and I love it for so many more reasons now. Kissing that little sweet head whenever I want is right up there at the top. Not lugging that stroller or car seat around and still having to chase the older one is right up there. Being able to go help at preschool during naptime without having to worry that a little one is missing her nap is a freedom babywearing allows. And my preschooler is thrilled because her mom is helping at school. Everyone is happy.

So, wear your baby. It makes everyone happy!

One year old. A milestone. Congratulations to a successful first year. I am a grandma who uses the Silly Goose to hold my grandbabies close. It is comfy and I too love it. Heidi loves what she is doing and she loves her babies. I love her babies too:)
